Divorce, business complications highlight bizarre case

While the following story isn't occurring here in Tennessee, it is still an incredible example of how high asset divorces can be very complicated, and also how divorce and business law can intertwine in convoluted yet important ways.

The owner of a fan company, Twin City Fan Company, was booted from his role within the company by his three sons. He is also in the middle of a divorce that involves allegations that he used company funds for his mistress. Obviously there is a lot to unpack there, but the situation is very serious. The company is one of the largest privately owned companies in Minnesota, with numerous locations across five states. The business employs roughly 1,500 people.

Look, divorce is a very stressful moment in any person's life. This feeling is greatly amplified when a business is at risk in the divorce. In this particular case, the owner is obviously losing quite a bit already, considering he has been kicked out of his role within the company. Both sides are now suing each other, which adds another layer of complexity to this case.

For those who have significant assets and are going through a divorce, or for business owners who are going through a divorce, it is imperative that you get legal counsel to review your case. You need experienced, passionate counsel that will fully investigate your case and give you the best chance going forward with your case.
