Navigating, Litigating & Resolving Complex Legal Matters in an Ethical Manner

Crystal M. Etue

Supporting Your Best Interests Crystal M. Etue

Crystal Etue focuses her practice in matters related to family law, including complex divorce, division of property, alimony, child custody, child support, post-judgment modifications, parental relocation, prenuptial/postnuptial/cohabitation agreements, paternity and adoption. Achieving client goals is Crystal's paramount concern as she helps individuals, parents, and children through the most trying of times. She is committed to providing strong, strategic, and effective solutions in order to meet the individual needs of her clients and help them restructure their lives.

Ms. Etue is a native of San Pedro, California. She joined the United States Air Force after graduating from high school and served on active duty for five years as a Cryptologic Linguistic Specialist at the National Security Agency. She then chose to continue her military service in the Tennessee Air National Guard as she pursued a career in the music industry and worked toward completing her college degree. Crystal graduated from California State University with a B.A. in Communications and an emphasis in Entertainment Public Relations, whereupon she returned to Nashville and worked as a publicist in country music.

Family obligations eventually led Crystal to relocate to a small rural town in Louisiana where she taught a high school Civics honor class and discovered that she had a facility for interpreting the Constitution and the law. Eager to become an attorney, she earned a Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center and graduated #1 in her class while teaching full-time and attending classes at night. During law school she was a Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Recipient, Junior Editor of the Southern Law Review, recipient of CALI Awards for Criminal Law and Constitutional Law, and National Finalist in the Judge John R. Brown Award for Excellence in Legal Writing.

Upon passing the Tennessee Bar, Ms. Etue once again returned to Nashville to serve our community as an attorney with a passion for the law and a compassion for those in need of navigating it. Her keen intellect, military background and life experience uniquely prepared her to handle family law cases with empathy, objectivity, common sense, discipline, patience, and a proclivity for holding her ground.

While Crystal believes in a collaborative resolution of disputes in order to reduce financial and emotional stress, she is prepared to zealously advocate in court for the protection of her client's rights and entitlements.
